I've been very happy with my Epson 740i but it has unfortunately reached a point where the repair would cost more than a new printer.
I can't afford to spend much at all at the moment but I'm a little lost without a printer. I've seen an HP Deskjet 3930 for $49 CAD (+ $10 instant rebate = $39). The price is definitely right for my budjet right now but I have a couple of concerns which I'm hoping to address here.
1) The printer does not come with the USB connector cable. Will my current cable (hooked up to my Epson) work or do I need to buy an HP specific cable?
2) It is an OS 10.2 and higher printer. I'm running 10.2.8, however, I print most often from classic aps Quark, PS Elements and Illustrator. I foresee no upgrades to these aps in the near future and am concerned that I may not be able to print from them. Does anyone know if that is the case?
Thanks in advance. I don't post here often (although, I do read), but always find answers to my questions here when the need arises.
