Hello all,

I'm looking at getting the LaCie 250GB d2 Extreme triple interface external HDD online, from B&H Photo Video. The link is here.

I was just wondering if any of you have any comment on either LaCie hard drives (particularly the d2 Extreme range), or B&H Photo Video themselves. They seem like a pretty reasonable site, but I'm just a little hesitant to order anything from them, as up until now I'd never heard of them before.

B & H is perhaps the most reputable of all the New York camera resellers. They are usually not the very cheapest but are always competitive in price- and you know that you'll actually get what you bought.

I can echo those comments on B&H. I've shopped there before, with good results; for the professional wedding photographer who lives across the hall from me here in NYC, it's the only place he'll shop in the entire city.

Another good resource is J&R (jandr.com). They consistently good reviews for service (I can vouch) for a wide range of electronics (not just cameras), but you won't go wrong with B&H.

I'll vouch for B&H too - great place to buy stuff. The Lacie D2s get good write-ups, as well.

I haven't really looked much at their hardware, but B&H DOES have really great prices on top quality photo papers, and super fast shipping too
