HI,

Tiger 10.4.2, iChat 3.0.1 (v392), iSight 1.0.3

Just bought my iSight and connected it to the back of my Cinema Display
Whenever I start iChat, it says "Your camera is in use by another application"

The "Force quit screen" only lists Finder, iChat, Safari and HP-director-all-in one
The activity monitor does not reveal any application towards the use of a camera

The green light on the camera comes on at boot, but goes out seconds after lighting up

Furthermore, I have Alchemy TV-tuner installed in a pci slot

When I connect the iSight to my Powerbook, everything works as it should

Any pointers would be very much appreciated

Thanks

Pim

I have a firewire webcam(not an iSight) and it will only tell me that if BTV, EvoCam, or Yahoo is using it at the time.

I'm goin with the government idea.

While I can't offer any solutions, I bet its got something to do with your TV card.

Yep, there is a conflict. DL & install the patch first, and then the only way to make it work is to open AlchemyTV DVR before you start an iChat session with iSight.
