hey kids, I'm incredibly frustrated with some iSync'ing, so I'm hoping someone can help.

I just picked up a new RAZR from TMo and I'm trying to sync my contacts over USB with my PB (Upgraded Pismo G4 550 running 10.4.2) using iSync 2.1. Originally it was reading the old contacts from the SIM and the sync'd contacts, so I had multiples of everything. I cleared the contacts from the phone so I was only left with the SIM contacts. I emptied the contacts from the SIM on my friends Nokia phone. Then, put everything back together, iSync'd it up and nothing.

My address book is filled, but it doesn't send any contacts to my phone. It doesn't report anything in the log either. When I start iSync, the phone lights up, says Synchronizing but doesn't send anything. I tried removing and readding the device in iSync, but still nothing.

<updates>

hmm. well, I backed up and deleted the SyncServices folder and resync'd. Previously, I had created a test contact on the phone to see if it'd work. I had subsequently wiped the phone, so it was blank. the next time I sync'd it only sent over the one test contact, but not the others. Is it something with maybe the type of cards in my address book? could it be different formats? I have no idea at this point...

Anyone have any ideas? thanks a lot for looking.

Can you try it via Bluetooth? Bluetooth is nice to use I've found and a USB dongle is pretty cheap these days. I was able to get my wife's to work with Bluetooth.

I think I now know why. I just worked with another user, and Bluetooth was busy on one of the two devices. Just a possibility.
