I drive around all day managing multiple construction jobsites. I recently got a freebie PDA to try out, and I've realized that I can really use it to my advantage. It's an old HP Jornada 568, so no BT and it's hard to see outside - not transreflective. I use the PDA for storing job info and blueprints, and scheduling reminders and appointments. I also have an old T610 I've been using for calls.

I'd like to streamline my system because juggling both devices and using the stylus while driving is just downright dangerous.

Option 1 is to get a new PDA (Palm or Pocket PC) with BT and a nicer screen and use it with my T610 to make calls. I'd like to be able to use my PDA for all phone functions, with a BT headset for when I'm driving. Ideally, I'd love to leave the T610 in the glovebox and be able to use the PDA for voicedialing through the BT headset and maybe even use a BT keyboard for input. I'm not sure if all these connections would be possible at the same time.

Option 2 is to buy a phone/PDA communicator with BT and go from there. I'm doing construction, so it'll get beaten up no matter how well I take care of it. I've been looking at i-mates or possibly a Treo 650 (not transreflective though), but I hate spending a bunch of money on something that'll get full of dust in a few months.

My main question is whether or not it's feasible to have all those connections in option 1. I'm new to PDAs, so I'm not sure if there's software available on Palm or PocketPC to dial out through a T610 via BT. It's my understanding that you can have a headset connection and a BT serial connection at the same time, but I'd also need a connection to the T610.

Option 1 is preferred because none of the communicators out right now really impress me, and it'll be less expensive to get a BT PDA than a $400-800 communicator. Advice is appreciated.

edit: I have T-Mobile, so any device I get has to support 1900MHz GSM
