Hopefully some of you have experience w/ laser printers. I'm looking for one that can basically replace a color inkjet there is really no need for us to be able to print in color when crisp B&W prints will do the job(we will be keeping the color printer for color<- i hear that's what they're for! , so, what I'm looking for is something that can produce crisp graphic prints as well as the usual laser text. This does not need to be a "high volume" printer but it does need to be able to crank out 100-200 pages when the need arises. Speed is not a huge concern considering it will be complementing a 6y/o 8ppm(sure ) Epson, anything will be better. I would really prefer that the cost will be less than 250, but the 300 is alotted just in case that is not possible. There are no brand reservations, HP is sorta on the top of my list for reliability and the very reasonable costs of their toner.(This is just from some very limited observation)

Thanks!

Kyocera makes very good printers and the toner is much cheaper than anything you can get for HP. Even their smaller models' toner tank lasts around 7000 pages. If you need duplex, take a look at the FS-1020D, 20 ppm, duplex, very robust, postscript 3 and pcl 6 support. The FS-920 is slightly slower (18 ppm and doesn't offer duplex).

If you want it cheaper, the FS-720 is 100 € less than the 920, but doesn't offer postscript or pcl.

No matter what brand you end up buying, make sure the printer has postscript and pcl. This way, you can be sure you can use it for a long, long time (as in years). Most can spit out around 14-20 pages per minute (A4), so they'll be plenty fast.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
