So I have a 120GB Lacie Drive I use for backup.

It was running fine, then there was a brief power outtage, and now it only mounts when connected to the firewire port on my monitor. The drive seems fine. Could the power surge messed up the firewire bridge? What should I do?

Thanks

Tom

So the drive is connected right now to the USB port on the display? That means it was connected elsewhere when the outage occurred, right?

And you said it mounts. If it mounts, the bridge must be working.

Maybe the port into which it was originally connected at the time of the power failure is damaged.

If you have another firewire device, use it to see if the device works on the "damaged" port.

Hope this helps.
Did Schroedinger's cat think outside the box?
