I'm looking for a superthin mousepad, but one that is still soft. Any ideas?

Yes, get a Logitech Optical Trackman and be done with mousepads once and for all.

mouse pads also keep your desk from being worn in the same place and getting dirty.

i seem to have dirty hands so this helps.

My personal favorite is an ExpertMouse Wireless from Kensington, which is actually a trackball. That said, if you can find them (if it's for a mechanical not optical mouse) get a 3M "Precise Mousing Surface." I realize you already have one, but this is for people searching.
