I'm using a kensington pocketHUB USB 2.0 hub on my iBook and it seems as if it is operating at usb 1.1 speeds. When i plug my ipod directly into my iBook into the usb 2.0 port, I can transfer 100 Mb of files to the ipod in about 5 seconds. When I connect the ipod to the hub (the power cable is plugged in and the ipod is the only device plugged into the hub) the transfer rate is about 1 MB per second. Is my hub just a dud?
Macbook 1.83 Ghz CD, 2 GB RAM, 320 GB HD, OS 10.6.2
