What in the world does this have to do with PERIPHERALS? Moving to APPLICATIONS where it probably belongs...

EDIT: After a PM and some discussion, (see my later post) I now see what's going on, so I've moved this thread back to Peripherals.

Probably because the Orange PC software is for the OrangePC add-on PERIPHERAL card...

I still think that a post that says I am in need of the OrangePC version software 3.4.2 is about software. However, since the driver software is apparently inextricably linked to the card (though happymac's logic in posting there just doesn't click for me), I'm moving the thread back.

Geeze people, with all the other stuff going on, can't we all be a bit more explicit? Happymac, how about "I'm looking for someone who has the card that may be able to help me find the software" somewhere in the thread?

I DO know that the card is an add-on, but there's nothing in the post about the card, just the software. With people posting stuff about the OS in Peripherals, about networking in PowerBooks, and about monitor cables in applications, we've been getting pretty innundated with stuff in the wrong forums. I think this was an honest "oops" on my part, don't you?

Yep , yep and yep . I do see your point and I should have been more specific. I was not aware of such shananagans going on in this forum. And you being a moderator sifting through all the posts, I completly see how this occured. I try to put the least amount of words in a request so as not to bore some indivdual who is browsing and may pass it by when he could have helped me. However, I am new here and learn quickly and will be more attentive in the future.
Thanks,
Mike

By the way ...I have found the software on a mirror site for those who need it >http://web.archive.org/web/200108160...m/updates.html
...Now all I need is the OrangePC 660 cable and I'm set

Good luck with the cable! And thanks for posting the site you found the software at-a lot of people post what's going on until they get a good lead, and then forget about the others that might be watching their thread for answers to their own problems. Good job!
