I know there are a lot of threads on the topic of external hard drive enclosures, but my question is about a particular combination.

I just ordered a Seagate 250 GB 7200/8 hard drive (assuming the rebate works out, I got a great deal here). I want to order a Macally PHR-100AC but some of the user comments at Amazon and elsewhere refer to problems with this enclosure handling larger drives.

Have people here experienced this kind of problem with the Macally case and larger (250 GB +) drives? Or have things been fine? Has Macally been good about dealing with the problem? It seems like some customers get units with power switches while others don't--I wonder if it also means that some get units with the beefier power supplies.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
