I'm using a new Powerbook G4 17" with Tiger 10.4.2. I've been trying for 2 days now to install a wireless Canon ip4000r printer. I'm able to print as long as I use the USB cable
but that's not the reason I purchased this printer. I would like to be able to use it wireless.
After setup it works perfectly on the wireless windows notebook but I can't get the mac notebook to recognize this printer using it wirelessly. I'm using a Linksys wireless GS router and have had no problems running multi-platform while surfing the net. Anyone out there have this printer sucessfully running on your Mac using a linsksy router? Or can Anyone out there make any suggestions I would greatly appreciate any and all suggestions. I've called Apple and Canon no one can figure this one out. Canon claims they have sucessfully ran this printer on a mac via wireless. Could it be the new OS Tiger?
Please help after 2 days and 6 hours on the phone with canon techs I'm about to pull my hair out!

Cinderella,
I am using an ip4000r with my 15" PB running 10.4.2. I connect wirelessly to the printer using a Linksys wirelss-G router. I hooked up the printer using the instructions that came with the printer (admittedly not the clearest) and it just worked, and has continued to work ever since. I'd suggest going back to the beginning and review the installation instructions, and go through them again, very carefully. Otherwise, I have no idea why it's not working for you, as it does work fine for me. Once you get it running, you'll really like this printer--it works great!
Steve
