...is down to 2hrs 50 minutes The peripherals connected are an Apple BT keyboard and an external display. Is there such a drastic effect on the battery by having the devices connected?
I've also noticed that the battery level for the keyboard has dropped to 60% 2 weeks after buying the keyboard. I was under the impression that the batteries are supposed to last about 6 months?

Bluetooth will drain a battery pretty quickly.
