I had asked this in the PB forum but it was locked on me. I have a rev d powerbook (1.5,515,64 vid) and am looking for a good LCD screen in the 200- low 300 range. What would people suggest to buy, so far I am leaning towards this screen since it is a 19 inch with 8ms rating http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824179014 or the 17 inch http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824179015 but I dont think the 17 had DVI

Has anyone used these screens before or know of any other good low priced LCDs I could use for the usual computing stuff in addition to some games (unrealtornament or medal of honor)? thanks a bunch!

Well, like I suggested in your previous thread, the Samsung 172X is an excellent LCD.

I use it and couldn't be happier with it.

Have you tried EIZO: http://www.eizo.com/products/lcd/index.asp

One of those was rated editors choice in pcworld, but I forget which one it was. They might be a little pricey; but weigh a cheaper, lower quality screen with a more expensive, high quality screen. Quality LCD's are around 500 and up, unless you have discounts or coupons.

Check out the Sceptre line at Newegg. I've been pretty happy with them (19") and the prices are decent, too.
