Just purchased cheap a old 17" bondi blue Apple CRT monitor. The screen is bright, but there's a yellowish stain at the bottom and the colors are wrong--reds are blue, yellows are blue, and blues are green (like the MacNN logo above). I've used an external PC monitor before with my 12" Powerbook without problems, and I've gone into the monitors settings and my system preferences as much as I can research, all to no avail. Is there something I'm missing, settings-wise, or is the monitor just dying? I can live with the hazy yellow spot, but having the colors all wrong isn't tolerable. Any suggestions? I've checked the cables, too, to ensure they're tight and everything seems fine.
