I'm considering buying a Logitech LX700 keyboard and mouse combo for my daughter's new iBook. But, according to the specs at the Logitech website, the LX 700 is only compatible with Windows. And the downloadable software at the site is for the LX700 is only available in Windows.
Yet, the LX500 is specifically stated as being compatible with Windows and Mac. And the only real difference between the LX700 and the LX500 is that the former has a rechargeable mouse.
Is anyone using the LX 700 with a Mac? Any "compatibility" problems?

USB Overdrive should work with the mouse if Logitech doesn't have Mac drivers for it. It's better anyway. You can then use the LX500 software for the keyboard if needed, so you are probably safe with this purchase.

I really need to learn to keep the manufacture's box....
It's weird, my LX700 somewhat worked when I first plugged it in my Mini...like I was able to use the Scroll, Volume, Sleep buttons on the keyboard and the mouse was just basic, no Back/Forward functions...
After I downloaded, the Logitech Control Center...I got the mouse to work, every fuction but now the keyboard is twisted, I can't use the above but I can use the F Keys...???
I was thinking of picking up the Bluetooth Keyboard but I can't sell this LX700 and also the Mighty Mouse is wired

I've been using the MX700 for well over a year w/out any issues. I have expose functions tied to various buttons on the mouse and my keyboard works fine.

Yes, they work great! The dial controls volume up and down, the mute buton works and the 'CD' controls work fine for itunes. In fact, hitting the play button will launch iTunes when it's not open. I have nothing but great things to say about the keyboard.
Have you tried reinstalling the Logitech software? Or testing the keyboard software under another user account?
