Hey all, just looking for some suggestions or warnings on brands / lines of portable HDs. Are any more/less reliable than any others?

Seagates are great. A guy at a nerdy and reputable comp. store I go to said that the Hitachi's sometimes "flake out"

I have a seagate 400GB in an external enclosure with firewire and it rules. 3 months and no problems whatsoever.

I like those from smartdisk.com. I used to have its VST Thin FireWire hard drive and it never failed.
