I need a cheap external firewire and usb2(for my pc) dvd burner so here's what I was thinking:

dvd burner: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827129164
enclosure: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817145357

about 85$

now how would 10.3 recognize this do i install patchburn to get it to work w/ itunes and finder, I also brn a lot of .dmg and iso files, will disk utility still work for this?

I really need a way to do this cause the 8x cd burner in my iMac is getting a little old and I get a dvd brner for the pc.

thanks!

Just buy Toast, patchburn is fine but even if it allows full recognition in OSX the functions are limited.
It is worth the money to buy Toast.
