Best display for movies/work?

	I'm looking for a good display that I can work on. My PowerBook 12" is really cramped and especially with the palettes--Photoshop, Illustrator are a PAIN. I can keep only 700x600 images in full 100% zoom to work with. I also want a display to watch movies on. Also I browse some pretty wide webpages and I like my SafariStand sidebar to be wider, but that cuts sites like MacThemes and RAD.E8 into slivers as well as makes webpages weirdly skinny. I don't have much spending money...I'm trying to keep it under $500. If you can help me it'd be greatly appreciated
