I just found your post doing a search for Ecomouse in Google.
Your review is much appreciated. I guess the Macally photo of the mouse being used has an infant for a model because the mouse looks almost average size relative to the model's hand.
Anyhoo, it's too small for me, too. I just bought a Logitech Cordless Mini Optical Mouse and here's my comments:
Pros:
- only takes 1 AA battery
- has auto-shut off when idle
- clicking and scrolling is relatively quiet compared to other mice (good for students in class)
- side scrolling (though, doesn't work by default in Windows, and w/o logitech control center working, proly can't get it to work in OS X)
- USB receiver is small and narrow; iBook users will appreciate this when using other USB devices
- has a battery-low indicator light
- relatively inexpensive ($39.99 CAD) in comparison to other Logitech wireless notebook mice, and other companies
- receiver attaches to mouse and turns it off
cons
- dam Logitech Control Center doesn't detect the mouse, nor my other logitech USB optical mouse, so I can't adjust tracking to PC style linear tracking (after 1 year of use, Mac acceleration curve is still frustrating)
- optical sensor is not centered on mouse, this makes it awkward to use the mouse if you move mice with your fingers as much as your wrist and arm
- received doesn't fasten to mouse as securely as it could, likely to loosen over time with wear
neutral comments:
- sensitivity is high. this is prolly a good thing, but might take some getting used to
- it's small, not mini, but significantly smaller than standard mice

Personally, I don't like it and I'm not going to use it. The search continues for the ideal wireless notebook mouse.
