I have no idea what the heck this is, but it's really bothering me. Every so often (I haven't been able to determine a pattern), my speakers will make a noice that almost sounds like dits and dots from morse code. dit dit dot dit dit dot dit. It's only been doing it since I moved to Salt Lake. I can't recall it ever doing it before. It hasn't effected anything, except I have no idea what the heck it is!

Any ideas?

Drr-t-t, drr-t-t? That's your GSM mobile phone. When they're near unshielded audio cabling, they induce that sound now and then. Putting your phone a few feet away from the cable connecting the computer to the speakers should fix it.
