Hi there,
Would anyone know the best external firewire HD I should get that would enable me to boot OS X 10.4.2?
I have a LaCie 200GB USB 2.0 but sadly I am unable to boot OS X from it.
I don't think a LaCie firewire HD would work - ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance

Try Acomdata's new E5 series. Works great and looks even better!

OSX will only allow you to boot from a firewire drive and not a USB drive.

Oh it works for sure. I have used a 80 GB d2 LaCie FireWire HD as boot volume with no issues.
