There a number of external ethernet network hardrives available. What would be a worthwhile use for such a drive on a home network? Thanx.

Storage accessible by all computers on the network, without the expense/overhead of a dedicated fileserver computer. Several of my clients (small businesses) have purchased these recently. The only catch is using them in a mixed platform environment, as you have to compromise on the filesystem, but that's an issue with dedicated servers as well.

I do not like them, Sam I am.
