My scroll on the Mighty Mouse has stopped working for some reason. I can still use it to click and activate Dashboard, but when I scroll it doesn't work in the Finder or other apps.
Any ideas?

I found that if you whack it against the table in anger (scrolly bit down) it works again. Sad, but true.

You tried cleaning it? (Using a piece of fabric and pushing it down and rolling it around firmly)

For me, the symptom was that scrolling down wasn't 'clicky'. So, I smacked it, ball first, onto the table. Maybe a few times, or even harder; what have you got to lose?

Have you lot actually tried cleaning the ball like I said, as apposed to smacking it against a desk?

I had the same problem yesterday.
The ball scrolled down, but not upwards.
It felt & sounded 'clicky' when rolling it to scroll down, but had more resistance when I tried to scroll up, and had no sound.
It can't be that dirty - I've only had it a short while and it's kept clean.
In the end, I pressed it down firmly and that alleviated the problem to some extent.

Same started happening to me today, after about 6 weeks.
I tried cleaning the ball with some rubbing alcohol and pressing down on it. Now it works again, - but not very well (seems to skip a lot).
When you pay this much for hardware, stuff like this shouldn't be an issue.

I think that pressing down (or smacking it ) works by dislodging some grime down there. I've smacked it a dozen times, and it's worked every time.
