Anyone know a USB IrDA adapter (and where to get them) that actually works with 10.4? I seached MacNN and the net, but found no concrete answer except the Belkin one which has been discontinued and can't be found.

They don't sell them in the usual local electronic superstores (CompUSA, BestBuy, CircuitCity, WalMart etc) so I can't try them out. I even called the closest Apple Store in Atlanta and they had no clue. Does IrDA driver already included in 10.4 and does a simple program that allow to do a simple file transfer, nothing fancy. Basically, I want to do send/receive files to Nokia cellphone. Nokia data cable won't work, even with VPC 7 (can't see the phone).

I know nothing about irda adapters, but I noticed when I was look at the first TiBook, a 400mhz one, there is an irda port on the rear left of the computer. I'm looking at TiBook DVI right now that doesn't have one though, so the port disappeared somewhere in between. As for those belkin adapters, eBay is your friends. And next time, get bluetooth .
