Hi

Any of you MX-900 users have issues with Button 8? It's located above the scroll wheel. When that button is pressed it should scroll down, instead it goes to Application Switcher (CMD-TAB).

This is sooo annoying.. never happened in Panther.

I did a check in Expose and that button is not assigned to anything.

I've tried GamePad Companion by Carvware to assignt button 8 to scroll down, but it still don't work! Any ideas??

My MX900 is also doing this. It doesn't bother me that much, but if I knew how to change it, I would. There's probably some Terminal command that would turn off the application switching button assignment.

Ever since they added 'app switcher' feature for the then upcoming Mighty Mouse...all mouses with that many buttons have this problem. Unfortunately, only the Mighty Mouse seems to be able to switch this action on or off via its special Pref GUI.

Urghh... mighty mouse is somewhat over-rated, IMO.

Let's hope Apple sorts this out with 10.4.3.. am having lots of problems with 10.4.2 already!

Thanks for the feedback ppl.. if anyone can provide suggestions in external software to map this problem would be most useful.
