I just bought my mini and 23" display 2 weeks ago. since last week, i've realized some weird things going on with the LCD... the scren would get a lot of little "sparkles" someties, once it's started, it won't stop... i called Apple, they said it could be the display card got interfered and what not... ok i buy the interference saying, cos that's what I thought anyway.

So I waited until it happens again, and I realized it only happens when the majority of the screen is BLACK!! (i know some may say, ofcourse, since you can only see it and it's more visible when the background is black) since the sparkles mainly stay on the very left column of the screen, when it happened, i changed to a wallpaper where the side are black... guess what? the problem is GONE! but when i change it back to all black, the sparkles come back. What gives?

I'm gonna call Apple again and see what they say... could it be the Mini display card? or I just got a faulty display?

(it also goes away if i restart my computer)

What exactly do you understand by sparkles? Can't picture this in my mind. Could you please post a picture oder movie showing this misbehaviour?

it looks like this... if i use all black, or mostly black background, or when i use black background screensaver (like the digital clock one). Green pixels will appear on the very left side of the screen (look carefully)... and white sparkles everywhere else, blinking and moving.

Tried my best to draw this up...

It's probably the weak display card, not interference I've said in the first post.
