I want to get rid of my 6ys old Epson740, actually, putting down for HP. Does anyone know a compatible color laser printer or an efficient multifunctional (all in one)? Please, let me know. Mine are iMac 17" 1Ghz, iMac333, mini-iPod, all networked by AirPort . Thanks. Jorge

Take a close look at the Ricoh 2000cl or the Okidata 5400. HP, at one time, was my favorite but they have cheapened their printers over the years and have fallen out of favor.

I've taken a look, besides being too bulky, they're neither available in Brazil and nor popular among repairing services. I forgot to mention size and particularities. Thanks anyway!

I was skeptical to buy a Brother printer, but now that I have, I can vouch that their Mac support is AMAZING!!!!!

It's literally on par with the Windows drivers/software! [all features can be used on the Mac].

I hate it when manufacturers (canon, HP, epson) don't implement all the features on the Mac side of their products!

Brothers have great support, and their manuals are great and actually informative.

The AIO model i have is the MFC-420CN; Brothers also includes a ETHERNET/NETWORK port on their printers for you to hook it up to the network [none of the other manufacturers offer this feature in the home consumer market]

Hope that helps.

If you want a small color laser, I guess you have to wait a couple of years. I second Oki.

If you want a good Mac-capable AIO that's color and an inkjet, my vote is for the MFC-5440CN by Brother. Mac compatible 100%, good printing and networkable.

I've been so happy with mine, even after it was destroyed by a fire (smoke damage), I'm getting the same one as a replacement.

I have had a Canon MP780 for 2 months and have loved it. Its fast, fully Mac compatable, and the ink is cheap to replace.

I got the Canon MP130. It just stopped turning on after 4 months. Got a new one, lasted 1 week before it prints nothing.

Hopefully round 3 will be ok.
