I'm preparing to digitize my personal administration workflow. No more folders with bank statements or paid bills, I will only keep digital copies.
So I'm looking for a scanner that is best suited for this process. It should be able to:
- scan and preview quicky,
- scan directly to PDF,
- create multi-page PDF documents form multiple consecutive scans,
- perform OCR on the fly.
Thin form factor and low price are important as well.
I've heard good things about the Canon CanoScan LiDE 500F, the software does all of the above, but it isn't very quick. And I like to compare, so I thought I'd ask you if you have experience with this one or others. There must be more companies that make such scanners...
Any suggestions?
