Basically, I've had my Mighty Mouse for little over a month, it worked perfectly fine up untill a few hours ago. I was simply scrolling down a website when bam, the ball hit some thing, I played around with it, it still works, but now it seems to be scratching on something when I scroll down. It only happens when I scroll down, no problems scrolling up, smooth as hell, but when it comes to scrolling down it seems to be rubbing on something and every few rolls causes the screen to jump a little.
Any ideas what might be wrong? Also would this be counted as a problem with the mouse, I.E covered by the waranty, so it may be replaced?
Thanks in advance

Funny thing, exact same thing happened to me on Friday. Of course it is covered and Apple is sending me a new one.

Really? That is good news, it's one of those things where it still works but it really really bugs you. So I take it you just gave them a call and told them the problem and they said they'd repace it?

Ya, they were actually idiotic enough to talk software troubleshooting and trying it on a different computer.
All in all it took an astounding 40 minutes on the phone to get a new one sent.

Mines packed in today....exactly the same problem....won't scroll down but up left and right are fine.
On hold as we speak but being given a bit of a run around....
Ok heres an update....
Takes them a while as apparently as the mighty mouse doesnt have a serial number they have to go through some convoluted process involving dispatch and customer services to send me a new one, the chap also said it also means they cannot check if its still in Warranty because of this....to which I politely mentioned it has only been out a few months, he laughed and said good point its just the system doesnt like that!!!
So should have a new one in a couple of days. Have to say very impressed as they didnt quible at all and the time was only down to their systems not being set up to deal with this!!!
