I'm considering buying my daughters a portable/compact printer for Christmas. This would be used primarily with an old Canon S110 -- which does NOT have PictBridge capabilities -- plus my much newer Olympus C60, which does. Anyone have any recommendations? I'd like to stay in the inexpensive range ($100 to $150, probably). Obviously, the Canon would have to be hooked up via the cable, though I THINK some printers can simply accept the card inside the camera.
Anyone have any experience with the Canon SELPHY line? How about any of the HPs? I'm kind of sour on Epson, after difficulties with my desktop printer, and have had very good luck with my Canon PIXMA. But I'm open to suggestions.
any experiences, good or bad? Anything to watch out for?

So you're looking for a compact photo printer, right?
(When I saw the thread, I assumed you meant a portable printer along the lines of a Canon ip90.)
I'd go for a dye-sublimation model, like Kodak's. The prints look fantastic, and they're more lightfast and waterproof than inkjet prints. Also, with dye-sub, page costs are absolutely fixed, since exactly one page's worth of ribbon is used for every printout, regardless of the photo contents.

Yes, a compact photo printer -- sorry about the lack of clarity.
I didn't consider Kodak's -- without thinking too much about it, I always kind of assumed they only worked with the Kodak cameras. Now that I do think about it, that would be pretty limiting, on Eastman-Kodak's part.
Thanks for the recommendation.

Oh, and I didn't mean to imply that only Kodak has good dye-sub models: some of Canon's Selphy models are dye-sub, and Olympus has them, too.
I'd just sooner go for dye-sub than inkjet if you're going for a dedicated snapshot printer.
