Here goes another one of those pesky "What should I get" topics!

I've been arguing this in my mind for the past couple of weeks, on whether to purchase the Blackberry 8700c or the Motorola RAZR V3i along with a Palm T|X.

I'm already with Cingular and have a T720 by Moto right now and also have a Palm Tungsten E. I'm not thrilled about either device but hey, they get the job done. I'm looking to get my devices up to date though with bluetooth since my PowerMac has it anyways. Browsing the web with a mobile device is a must for me nowadays.

PLAN A: Blackberry 8700c = $299
with Data plan and voice plan = $90/month
PocketMac's BB syncing tool;

PLAN B: Moto RAZR V3i -- not yet announced but more than likely going to Cingular at $249 is my best guess;
PLUS the Palm T|X ($299) then a bluetooth keyboard as well ($80).

In your experience, how do Blackberry device work with the Mac and have you ever used Palm?
You can also flip that question around if you have Palm but were using a BB PDA.

TIA

I've used a Palm before, but not one of the smartphone editions like the Treo. I hate Palm, but I hate Windows Mobile even more. Not impressed with either one.

My sediments exactly. I'm so sick and tired of the Palm platform and (lack of) integration with the Mac OS X setup.

I feel I'll be so much happier with the BB 8700c.

I think it's referred to as the Crackberry for a reason!

Well I have cingular with a Nokia 6620 smartphone (Symbian OS) and you don't need a data plan because cingular doesn't have it classified as needing one. So I'm only paying $40 a month and I can get full web, abbreviated web, e-mail, and I actually got rid of my Palm T3 after I got the phone. Another plus is it syncs well with iCal and Address Book via bluetooth. I'm not sure I'd recommend the razor because when I played around with it in the store I felt like I was gonna break the thing. The Nokia also has a removable MMC card(although it's behind the battery) for storing whatever you want(music or pictures). If you're thinking about a blackberrry though I'd go with t-mobile because a voice and data plan is only $60. I don't really use or need all of the features on my phone but it can do more than the Treo from cingular, and the only thing keeping me from going to a blackberry is the $175 cancelation fee I'd have to pay.
