I was wondering if someone could help me with a printing problem I have at home. I just purchased an HP 4550 Color LaserJet Printer and I am connected to it directly through my usb port. My G3 is able to print to it but when I print a graphic file it prints out many copies of gibberish.

Any clues on how to fix the problem? Thanks in advance.

Which driver are you using? Which OS? Which format of graphic? Which program are you printing from?

Is it a PostScript or non-PostScript model? If you're printing PostScript to a non-Postscript printer, you'll get PostScript code printed as text.

Does it happen all the time? Sometimes, a couple of characters from the beginning of a print stream will be lost and you'll get the PostScript or PCL code printed as text.
