Does anyone own and operate the new Canon S820 printer? Could you feed me some of your impressions of quality, text, compatibility with non-Canon photo paper, etc? I'd appreciate it.

I have the new Canon S900, which is the S820 with twice as many nozzles so it prints twice as fast. The OSX driver was downloaded from the Canon web site. It works very well. As Canon tells you, some features like banner printing are not implemented. But it does edge to edge 4x6 printing just fine. I have used Epson photo paper, both glossy and matte with great results. And Kodak Premiun photo paper works well also. I love this printer.

I have one. It works really well even when using normal paper. It also does not seem to be too bad on ink usage. I bought mine at Costco for $130 canadian (80 mail in rebate), so well worth it.

$130 Canadian?! Even without the $80 rebate- that's a steal! The one I ordered is running $500 Canadian. The cheapest prices I found in the US is around $260 US. Are you sure we're talking about the same printer?
