I am having random episodes of image "ghosting" along the X-axis, right side, on my Apple refurb. 17" StudioDisplay ADC/G4 400AGP, ATI Rage128Pro, OS 9.1. Seems to happen several minutes after cold start, and goes away/returns occasionally. Altering convergence settings doesn't help. Should I service under warranty?

See what you can do for it. Make the most out of your warranty.

I used to work with a monitor repair tech, and he said that he never could get an Apple refurb monitor to work "as good as new". He brought a lot of monitors back to life, but they were never as good in their second (or third) life. Ghosting was a common problem. Color shifts were more common.
