Hi all,

The USB 2.0 on my PowerMac G5 is giving me lots of trouble when synching with my iPod nano. Long story short, it is defective (at least when it comes to iPods) and also out of warranty (so can't have it repaired, at least for free anyways). So the best solution I have right now is to purchase a USB 2.0 PCI card for my Mac (or stick with USB 1.1 on the Cinema Display).

Now my question is, what card do you recommend/use? I hear some cards are giving users some sleep issues (when devices are connected).

IOGear GIC251U PCI card, I own three of them and they work very well. No drivers needed and it supports deep sleep in OSX.

Newegg has them for around $25

I have an Adaptec 4-port USB 2.0 card in my G5. Works great, though I couldn't actually tell you if deep sleep works or not (I never put my machine to sleep; its always busy doing something).
