I purchased a new G5 2.3 dual core about three weeks ago and I was initially using an older Belkin USB 1.1 hub and everything worked as advertised. I replaced that hub yesterday with a Belkin USB 2.0 7 port hub and now I'm having several problems. The biggest problem is that the machine will not sleep unless I force it to using the Apple menu. If I use the button on my cinema display the scanner attached to my hub won't work until I do a power reset on the hub.
Initially I had the hub and keyboard connected to my display and that caused another problem with sleep. The machine would go into sleep and then immediately power back up. So I played with the connections and I wound up connecting my keyboard directly to my G5. Now the display will sleep but the G5 won't .
Does anybody out there have any answers to this problem?
