Hi - I just get the message of Software Update every time I start up: Some software for Sound Sticks is missing. You want to search the internet. After saying yes, nothings is found of course, since the Sound Sticks work and are recognized by the system. How can I get rid o f this ennyoing messages?

Software Update is not the brightest bulb on the street.

Many of us prefer to leave it off and pick and choose our updates manually.

Well, I was puting it in manually mode, but the inquiry at startup still comes up every time. I trashed all prefs, but it still moanes...

What I meant was - many of us have disabled it completely or trashed it.

Then you won't see the message anymore.

No, its no improvement at all: now that I have disables Software Update, the system itself complains after restarting and tells me that tere is no software for Pro Keyboard AND Sound Sticks, but at least the Sound Sticks work as they should. The Multimedia keys still dont work under 9.1 unless the required USB software IS in place and order.
