Im looking for a NAS (Network Attached Storage) that is mac friendly. I did some research and came up with some products that I would be interested in only to find out that they did not support mac.. naimly Buffalo Technology’s solution, doing a little more research I found

http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=10647

it seems that lacie is the most mac friendly storage solution provider out there, am I right?

Anyhow if any of you know of a different company that would have a 600gig-1TB network storage solution please let me know.

Thanks!

LaCie is garbage in my experience. I can't recommend any of their products.
Thecus fully supports Macs, capacity 320GB - 1.6TB.
Why did you rule Buffalo out? It's just a SMB (Samba) share, which Win/Lin/Mac can all access.

Isn't Buffalo's config utlity Windows-only? Either that or I must be thinking about a different maker.

Ximeta.com looked interesting until I came across the "proprietary" software bit; while the performance gains may be considerable, the last thing you need/want is for incompatibilities to crop up in the future that make your storage solution useless.

Buffalo Technology says:
Management via an intuitive, fully featured web interface from Windows or Linux
A Mac should have no problem with a web interface that a Linux box can use (since that excludes the possibility of requiring IE6).
