I'm thinking of taking the plunge (gulp!) and ordering the new 23" cinema display.

I just would like to know if anyone here has purchased one and what you think of it.

The 22" inch display is great so I figure the 23" display with it's higher resolution must be awesome.

I just set one up in the lab the other day and it is fantastic! It's brighter and the colors seem more vibrant than on the 22" ACD sitting next to it. The increased pixel density is nice, things aren't too small though. However, with so many pixels there is a greater chance of dead/stuck ones, and this particular display had 4 small imperfections. If I had the cash to spend I would definitely pick one up.

Why did I bother saying this?

The ACD23

well, one thing is uaually true of the world is this
you get what you pay for.
and with the ACD23 you get, quite simply the f**king coolest monitor available to man.

(that said i havent seen that beasty $25k IBM monster in the flesh)

i spend all day looking at kikass monitors (many worth 5x the ACD23) and ill tell you the same thing..

no screen on the planet is as nice to look at.
if you have the cash (no im not going to make some crack about people with too much money) get it. you have my guarantee you will love it to death..

simple man - own it

I'm ready to buy, but other than the apple stores, i've learned they're not in stock at ClubMac, CDW, Infinity Micro... and even their expected arrival dates are far-off AND vague.

thanks
