I'm in the market for a network printer in the under $300 price range. I'd love a laser printer, but I doubt I'll find one in my price range.
I've seen many out there at the office stores, but I've noticed several say they don't work on Macs... how true is that? What are some good brands that you all have used?
This printer will be for home office use, so a laserjet will suffice, and I would love it if it were an all in one printer. PDF creation is irrelevant since I can do that via OSX in just a few mouse clicks.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Check out the HP 2600n. It's a color laser that can be had for a little more than $300. Everyone was running it on sale last week for $329. Totally Mac compatible and easy to set up on the network. I got lucky and bought one in the Marketplace forum for under $300 shipped. I love it.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I'll second the HP. They make great laser printers.

It's very, very hard to beat the Brother HL1870n for $199 shipped. It's a refurb, but has the full warranty. I bought the 1850 for that price last year, which is the same model without the Ethernet. I'm very pleased with it. It's fast, has a duplexer, and handles anything I throw at it. It hasn't given me one problem, which in and of itself is priceless. I deal with cantankerous printing systems at work, and I sure don't want to do so at home. I've put 1,251 pages through it in the last year, which isn't a lot, but it's enough for me to feel very confident in the printer.
