Imma feel stupid if this is already out there....

My idea is this, a small cheap little SCSI-2 to Compact Flash Card adapter. These little memory cards are easily fast enough, and about the same size as most of these old mac's stock hard drives. And if you're running one as a server for example, its hte perfect solution. You get a mac that uses less electricity, creates less head, and runs much quieter. Plus real SCSI-2 drive can only get harder and harder to find as time goes on. I think its a great idea, but I also have a pile of old macs in my house that I'd love to run off of these :-p

An IDE to SCSI adapter is a better solution:

IDE/ATA drives are much larger and much cheaper (per mb) than Compact
Flash.
