I just got an iBook and have been trying to no avail to get anything to print. I've gone through the Apple Help guide but when I try to set the printer up through Postscript, I can't find the printer under the USB selection menu. I should also mention that I am using Airport with a cable modem. Please help, thanks.

I am wondering. Epson 740 is NOT a Postscript printer. How about using the Chooser for a normal print?
Mine is working perfect on iMac with OS 9.1

Apparently Appletalk had been activated when I installed my Airport card so after turning off Appletalk and re-installing the printer drivers I was successful at printing. Thanks for the help, I guess I just overlooked something so completely basic!
