just picked one up for my G3 B&W, my old ADB AppleDeisgn keyboard finally gave out.

The Pro keyboard is too soft, w/o enough tactile feedback.

I want one of those old-school IBM super-loud click keyboards. Anything like this available for mac? Even on PCs these old keyboards are hard to find.

Everything now is soft and mushy.

I'm not trying to tell you what you should like for typing, since there's nothing worse than a backseat typer, but maybe you should give the pro keyboard a chance first?

I have the smaller Apple USB keyboard, and at first I didn't like it at all, because of its light touch and lack of "spring" in the keys. But after a few months, I found that I was typing faster than ever on it, and I dreaded going back to the older-style keyboards.

Well this is just my experience...but if you decide to ditch the pro keyboard and need a buyer, I'm interested. Please drop me an email if you want to sell your pro keyboard, (or make a donation to a poor graduate student ), and maybe we can work something out.
