Sorry to have to do this, as I'm sure it's been debated time and again, but does anyone know Apple's reasoning behind dissing the power button on all newer keyboards?

Does anyone else think this is a backwards move on Apple's part? I mean, who actually LIKES leaning down to touch the CPU to startup the machine? ARGH!

seriously. I about 2 weeks ago I got my first tower, and last night was the first time I've had to forcibly restart one. So naturally I went for the power button. And it just went to sleep! where is the logic behind that? Who bends over to put the machine to sleep? It took me 15 minutes to find something small enough to press the restart button....

If you have an Apple monitor with ADC - you can start up the whole system by turning the monitor on. You can also find 3rd party usb add-ons that plug into the keyboard usb that have a power button.

Not sure what they run price wise tho...I use my studio display!
I was here but I disappear
