Morning all,
Is there any way to access mp3s on an iPod other than using iTunes. I want to try a batch volume adjustment using mp3 rage. When I go to the volume adjustment tool it says to pick a source folder. I can't pick any folders that contain the mp3s. How can this be done?

TIA

Go to Version Tracker (VersionTracker.com) and download TinkerTool. Then once you've installed it select 'Show hidden and system files' and you will then be able to access all the MP3's on your iPod

I don't know how these utilities work exactly (I don't know if they simply display in the finder or let you manipulate them from the program).

Escape Pod
PodUtil
Pod Master 1000

Just search for ipod on versiontracker.com under Mac OS. These may just allow you to offload songs from the iPod/sync them differently, but they are worth a try. In matters like this 9 and X are night and day. Just look at what happens if you boot into 9 and you have X on the drive. All the X hidden files are visible (as well as all the user folders being unlocked) since 9 operates so differently in this capacity.
