My pro mouse has be having problems since 3 days ago...
the cursor just freezes on the screen and won't move. I unplug the mouse or restart to get it going again. sometimes even the keyboard wont respond...
I did call apple last night they said the would send me another mouse but the emailed some other place to take my order I was told they would call me back for the order but no one called...
before I called them back and raise hell, I wonder if my keyboard will not prove to be an issue after I get a new mouse...
and if its a software issue I wish i knew how to fix it... I did upgrade to OS 9.1
iMac 500mhz DVSE got it Oct 2000
cursor still freezing even now... sometimes its just a delay but most of the time it Freezes and just wont move again.

Hm... well, I'm gonna have to blame USB somehow here.
Damaged port on the computer? Probly not if your mouse stops and keyboard doesn't.
Damaged port on your keyboard? But it stops sometimes too... or perhaps those are actual crashes...
What version USB drivers are you using?
Try installing USB Overdrive, see if that helps.
If not, try running with a MacOS All extension set... perhaps something is conflicting with the USB drivers.
Hm... make sure the keyboard is plugged straight into USB port 1 on your computer, and NOT via a hub...

Cipher is bang on.
Take to heart what he said about keyboard/mouse into port 1 (upper).
Would just add - if you have any other peripherals attached - shut down, unplug them -
leave them unplugged and startup. See how your keyboard/mouse works now with nothing
else plugged in. If you don't have any freezes, then one of the other devices you were using
is/are causing the USB conflict.
You can plug everything back in now and it should still work without freezes until the next
time you shutdown/restart.

Thanks guys
I did have the keyboard on upper
I do have a USB Hub connected to the lower.
Today I got a freeze everytime I try to click and Drag anything (Window/Files)
Apple was not much help they are sending me a new mouse... I'm sure its something else causing this so I will try to check out what you guys posted.
My USB HUB has a SUPERDISK DRIVE, UMAX ASTRA 3400(always been a pain with conflicts), and an EPSON STYLUS 740i
please post anything else that may help... I'm new to all of this I could not even get iTunes to work last month so I had to trash it...
Thanks

Oh dear, I'll lay money that its your Umax
Disable all of its drivers and you'll be fine.
Unplug it too...
When you need to use it... well, I don't know - but I'm pretty sure its the scanner. See if there is a software update for it.
Reboot with the MacOS All extension set and see if the problem persists...
