External USB hard drive with windows -- can you hook it up to a Mac?

My crappy old Windows laptop just decided to die on me. I'm pretty sure the hard drive is okay, as I replaced the hard drive less than 6 months ago. My question is, there's a lot of data I need to get off of my hard drive.

I have an iMac as a desktop computer. If I take the hard drive, which has Windows 2000 on it, put it into a external USB hard drive case, and connect the USB hard drive to my iMac, will my iMac be able to read the contents of the hard drive?

Yes, you can read the contents of the hard drive from your Mac.

I believe that OS X 10.3.x can read NTFS and OS 9/OS X can read and write to FAT32.

Thanks -- I got an external USB hard drive case, and am recovering my files right now!

I'm using OS X 10.4. I picked up the Adaptec 2.5" external USB drive case.
