I found these detailed step by step pictures on how to disassemble an iPod. Man, it looks kind of cruel to me! This guy also made some modifications to his iPod, like changing the metal back to a transluscent plastic cover.
His attempt to build a remote control failed, however. I guess the iPod's software isn't ready for that, yet.

Thanks for the post.

There seems to be a much better way to ago about opening the ipods and furthermore to all the generations as well.
