I changed the black ink cartridge (and updated to OS X 10.1.3 the same morning, but this shouldn't be an issue); my Lexmark z53started printing badly misaligned text. I did all the cleaning, wiping, alignment procedures many times but it doesn't get fixed. Could it be just a defective cartridge? Any idea?

reboot to os 9, install proper drivers, run the utilities--this way you can find out if its a defective cartridge.
